Regent Street

In the heart of London’s West End, the Regent Street boutique became the setting for the third chapter of The Church’s Craft, created in collaboration with Port Magazine. Within the refined store, master artisans from Northampton offered a rare glimpse into the precision, dedication and quiet mastery of English shoemaking.


Guests and friends of the house experienced the craft up close, as demonstrations of leather cutting, stitching and finishing revealed the patience and skill woven into every Church’s shoe. Later that evening, Church’s and Port Magazine hosted an intimate dinner to honour the enduring values of British craftsmanship—a celebration of artistry, elegance and the timeless spirit shaping the world of Church’s.

Chapter 1
Jermyn Street

In the historic heart of London’s gentleman’s style, Church’s Jermyn St. boutique opened its doors to a rare encounter with craftsmanship. Three master artisans from the Northampton factory unveiled the secrets of shoemaking, displaying processes such as leather cutting, hand stitching, and bespoke heel initialling to a group of esteemed guests—including clients, artisanal shoe enthusiasts, and selected talents.
The star of the event: the timeless Pembrey penny loafer, Church’s Icon of effortless refinement, revealed in its purest form. Alongside, a curated selection of archival loafer designs from the 1940s and 50s offered an evocative glimpse into the evolution of elegance.


Chapter 2
New Bond Street
In collaboration with Gentleman's Journal
In the heart of Mayfair, Church’s New Bond Street store hosted the second instalment of The Church’s Craft, in collaboration with Gentleman’s Journal. In an afternoon infused with relaxed elegance and summer spirit, artisans, friends of the brand and selected guests gathered to celebrate Church’s shoemaking heritage in a setting that blended boutique sophistication with the lively atmosphere of a true connoisseur's gathering.
The highlight of the event was the iconic Consul, a timeless Derby lace-up and symbol of English refinement for over 70 years. A team of craftsmen from the Northampton factory offered a behind-the-scenes look at its construction, showcasing cutting and stitching techniques that brought the process to life. Against the backdrop of summer drinks and relaxed conversation, the event celebrated the harmony of timeless craftsmanship, enduring elegance, and contemporary spirit.
