Inspired by music and orchestras, the presentation of Church’s Autumn Winter 2026 collection transformed Palazzo Barozzi into an imagined maestro’s studio: a realm of intellectual fervour, creative exploration, and meticulous discipline, drawing an analogy between the artistry of musical instruments and the finesse of shoemaking. Visionary soundscapes, curated by musical maverick Ruggero Pietromarchi, accompanied the occasion, with live recitals by Renato Grieco, Riccardo La Foresta, and Agnese Menguzzato punctuating moments throughout the day.

The overture commenced with the Sunday Morning collection, a bold winter interpretation of Church’s iconic sandal, crafted in waxed suede or wool in signature English patterns. Alongside, the Regent range was unveiled, capturing the essence of the youthful country squire with styles constructed on the robust 133 Country last, exuding subtle refinement and intended to transition seamlessly from rural landscapes to urban settings.

Within the New Formal family, we encounter a modern gentleman anchored in tradition yet propelled by innovative flair. Striking a balance of heritage and forward-thinking design, silhouettes with impeccable detailing reveal themselves to be soft and unstructured beneath their formal façade. Among these are the charming Sidley boot with delicate brogueing, the sleek Stanhope chelsea boot, the graceful Sidbury derby, and the timeless Skipton oxford.

In the crescendo, the Royal selection emerged as the pinnacle of understated opulence, characterised by pristine contours and artful subtlety. The refined Prince monk strap stood alongside the elegant Duke oxford with folded stitching, both classic styles reimagined through a contemporary lens and defined by impeccable proportions and premium leathers with a lustrous finish.
